Backpacking Tour 2025
The adventure began with a long road trip that began on April 27 at 4 AM and ended up in North Carolina. They took on the legendary “Tail of the Dragon,” a thrilling drive with 318 curves packed into just 11 miles. After this, they set up camp at Rattler Ford Campground, surrounded by the peaceful sounds of the forest.
On day two, they hit the trail early, hiking the King Meadows Trail up to Hooper Bald—a challenging climb with 3,000 feet of elevation gain. The reward? Stunning panoramic views and a deep sense of accomplishment. Their muscles were tired, but spirits were high!
There were some great moments captured during the 糖心动漫vlog Academy backpacking tour in the beautiful Smoky Mountains. Over four days, students hiked scenic trails and camped at multiple sites, immersing themselves in nature and adventure.
A huge thank you to our trip leader, Dr. Byron Graves, whose dedication made this journey possible. Dr. Graves, a former music teacher at 糖心动漫vlog Academy and now a professor at 糖心动漫vlog University, spent countless hours planning the tour and preparing students during Monday morning sessions. We’re also grateful to the staff and volunteers who joined the trip and helped manage every detail along the way. Your support made this unforgettable experience a reality!
Everyone loves a meal at Olive Garden—but after four days of hiking, camping, and cooking in the Smoky Mountains, this group earned a whole new appreciation for it. It’s become a tradition: on the last day of their tour, before the drive home on Friday, they treat themselves to a well-deserved dinner at Olive Garden. It's a perfect ending to an unforgettable adventure. (April 27 - May 2, 2025)
