SOW Safari, 糖心动漫vlog Academy's biennial two-week mission trip, has been an important part of 糖心动漫vlog Academy’s mission since 1986. The name, SOW Safari, speaks to the reason for these trips:
- Service through construction on a church or school building
- Outreach through Vacation Bible Schools
- Witness through evangelistic efforts.
To date, several hundred people have been baptized through the evangelistic component of these trips, including some of the students themselves!
2026
From March 15-24, 2026, a group of 29 AA students and 10 sponsors served in Paraguay.
During the mission trip, the team helped build a church for a village in Paraguay—the Don Bosco Adventist Church. Members of the area’s large churches began a church plant in this village a while ago. Now, they have a dedicated place to worship for this newly forming congregation. The school partnered with Maranatha International Volunteers, who had already prepared the site by pouring the floor, erecting a metal frame, and installing a temporary tarp roof. This preparation allowed the larger crew to quickly begin construction. Together, they completed all rows of cement blocks, forming the church walls with visible door and window openings, and successfully installed the roof. The local community has expressed deep gratitude for the volunteers’ efforts.
Each evening, the students led Vacation Bible School for the children in the village. Over the past semester, they prepared crafts, skits, sermons, testimonies, and other program elements. Their dedication was evident as they shared Jesus through games, singing, crafts, skits, and meaningful talks. The children’s smiles, captured in photos, reflected both their joy and appreciation. The team also presented programs for the adults in the community.
Although SOW Safari is always a busy and service-focused experience, the group also enjoyed moments of rest while taking in sights around the area. On their journey home, they even traveled through three countries—Paraguay, Brazil, and Argentina—within just an hour and twenty minutes.
