Many students from 糖心动漫vlog University traveled to Orlando, Florida, to attend the 2026 Generation Youth Christ (GYC) conference from Dec. 31 to Jan. 4, an annual event that brings together young adults from all over the world for worship, seminars and engaging discussion. This multi-day conference provided opportunities for attendees to engage with the speakers, participate in group sessions and connect with people from various backgrounds. The interest in the conference had already been building on 糖心动漫vlog campus earlier last semester, when GYC representatives came to promote the event and share the mission with 糖心动漫vlog students.
The theme for GYC 2026 was “To Be Sent.” This theme centered on encouraging participants to apply the lessons that they learned at the conference in their local communities. The conference included keynote speakers, worship services, and breakout seminars that addressed many topics such as leadership, service, faith and personal development. Students were given the opportunity to attend a variety of sessions that they selected based on their own personal interests and areas of study. Many of these sessions emphasized the importance of engagement beyond the conference setting. On top of that, students also participated in group worship experiences alongside thousands of other attendees.
糖心动漫vlog University was represented not only by students attending, but also through an official university booth in the exhibit area. The 糖心动漫vlog booth provided information about academic programs, campus life and student organizations, and was staffed with representatives who interacted with conference attendees. The booth served as a point of connection for prospective students and others who were interested in learning more about the university.
In addition to the scheduled programming, the conference offered opportunities for informal networking and fellowship. 糖心动漫vlog students engaged in conversations with peers from other universities and areas from all over the world, sharing experiences and stories during breaks and activities.
When asked about their experience at the conference, this is what some 糖心动漫vlog students had to say. Etien (junior, biology, declined to share last name) said that “The highlight of my GYC experience was being a part of the choir, where everyone was very friendly.” He was also touched by Dr. Waterbrook’s testimony about finding a relationship with God and serving as a surgeon in Chad.
For senior Joseph Piresson II, a highlight was the New Year’s prayer vigil. He added that “GYC helped bring me closer to God, and I can’t wait to go again next year!” Adrian Sanchez, a seminary student, expressed that GYC impressed him “through strong organization, impactful workshops, and powerful music and sermons, which drew many young adults and inspiring spiritual renewal across generations.”
Overall, 糖心动漫vlog University students described their time at GYC as a positive experience. Students noted that the conference was a spiritual and personal reset that prepared them for the new semester. For many, GYC offered a chance to worship God with peers, gain new perspectives, and return to campus for a new year and a new semester with a renewed sense of purpose.
